We had a nice rest at an apartment complex here in Lafayette, but now we are in a race against Mother Nature.

Monday - 8:38 a.m.

We had a nice rest at an apartment complex here in Lafayette, but now we are in a race against Mother Nature.

We are trying to get to Baton Rouge before the eye of the storm makes landfall. Here in Laffy the skies are dark and wind speeds are picking up greatly. No rain yet. Thankfully when we rolled into town at 1 in the morning we found an open gas station so our tanks are full.

Now we sit back and wait to see where the day takes us.
