Norman police arrest hotel robbery suspect

Norman police arrested a man Monday night suspected in a rash of hotel robberies, officers said.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Norman police arrested a man Monday night suspected in a rash of hotel robberies, officers said.

Jeffery Massie was taken into custody after police found a ski mask, gun and money bag in car he was driving, police said.

Police received a report of an armored robbery last Monday night at Hampton Inn, 309 Norman Center Court. When officers arrived they saw a red Jeep fleeing the scene that matched the description of a jeep used in similar hotel robberies. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested Massie.
