Charges pending, son accused of killing mother

OKLAHOMA CITY-- Murder charges are pending for a man accused of killing his mother in a fight.

Police said 45-year-old Jimmy Gilbert stabbed his mother Linda Gilbert, 61, during an argument this past Sunday.

The attack happened in his mother's home near southwest 104th and Western.

The District Attorney has 10 days to charge Gilbert or request an extension.

Gilbert was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on Sunday on a complaint of first degree murder.
