OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Police continue their search for a man allegedly responsible for robbing four hotels in the metro area since Wednesday.

The string of hotel heists began Wednesday morning at a Best Western in south Oklahoma City. The surveillance camera caught footage of the masked man leaping over the front desk and forcing the clerk at gunpoint to hand over money from the register.

"He was there about two and a half minutes," Sgt. Paco Balderrama said. "He does not spend a whole lot of time inside...He knows what he's after, and he quickly leaves."

Thursday morning two other incidents occurred involving a masked man. Police believe the same man held up two more Oklahoma City hotels, including a Holiday Inn on N Robinson Avenue and a Comfort Inn on NE 120.

"Obviously, this individual is going in the wee hours of the morning knowing there's not going to be a whole lot of people, just basically him and the clerk," Balderrama said.

In between the two Oklahoma City holdups, a suspect matching the same description robbed the Holiday Inn Express in Edmond, police said. They believe the same man was responsible for all four holdups.

"He is a walking time bomb," said Glynda Chu of the Edmond Police Department. "He could be killed. He doesn't know if that clerk has a gun, or if something could go really, wrong, and the clerk could end up dead."

Footage of the alleged robber not wearing a mask was captured by the Best Western security cameras.

Anyone who has information about the robberies or recognizes the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
