Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. -- A portion of 23 Street, near Triple X Road, was closed Tuesday evening after a man on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle, according to authorities.

Emergency crews were on scene, and reported the vehicle was traveling faster than 50 mph when the driver hit the bicyclist.

The bike rider, suffering head trauma, was taken to the hospital where his condition is unknown.
