Antlers woman dies in crash

HUGO, Okla. - An Antlers woman has been killed in a two-car collision on a county road in Choctaw County Tuesday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 43-year-old Rebecca Smith died in the accident north of Hugo shortly before 8 p.m. 

Troopers said Smith was northbound when she lost control of her pickup truck in a curve and crashed into an oncoming pickup.

Investigators said Smith wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown nearly 50 feet from her truck as it rolled.

The driver of the second truck has been hospitalized and is in fair condition.
