OKLAHOMA CITY -- Elisa Cossey loves basketball.

The Blanchard, Okla. woman adores the Hornets so much that after their two years in Oklahoma City, she bought season tickets to their games in New Orleans and rarely missed a game.

"I always liked the NBA, just never got to see them play until they came here," she said.

But, with Oklahoma City getting a new NBA team this fall, Cossey has to decide if she'll continue to rack up her frequent flier miles to New Orleans or bring her signature loud support back to the Ford Center.

Cossey is famous for making noise at games. From her seat in Section 101, she could be heard all around the Ford Center heckling the opposing team as they tried to shoot.

"Some people have called it a yodel," Crossey said. "It's definitely not a whistle. It's just a very loud obnoxious noise."

After the Hornets learned of Crossey's 1,400 mile round trips to see them play, she was showered with all-access passes, autographs and invites to black-tie events with the players.

But Cossey said she won't be in New Orleans next season. She didn't renew her Hornets season tickets. She plans on blowing eardrums from one end of the Ford Center to the other.

"I was hoping to fly in under the radar, and you caught me," Cossey said.
