Armed with a poster that reads, "I love my wife," Nick stood on a downtown street corner Tuesday to say he's sorry.

"My wife and I have marital problems, nothing out of the ordinary really," he said. "I'm ashamed of myself. I can publicly admit it that I'm ashamed of myself."

A few weeks away from his first anniversary, Nick said he's on the brink of losing his love.

"I haven't behaved in the proper fashion," he said. "My wife is a beautiful Christian woman and I promised her a long time ago I would protect her."

Nick said he created the poster after his wife told him she didn't love him anymore.

"I felt the Lord put this on my life last night, so I started this today," Nick said Tuesday.

He didn't tell his wife about his plan to stand at the intersection of Robinson and Sheridan avenues with a simple message: "I can provide a life for you that you'll never regret. And I'm sorry I've give you a reason to regret. I love you."
