While it's legal to buy fireworks in Oklahoma, it's not legal to set them off everywhere.

Linda Gray, owner of TNT Fireworks, tells her customers where and when they can set off their fireworks legally.

"We have a little flyer that we give out telling people to please observe the hours and times that they can discharge," Gray said.

Tim Adam, deputy chief with the Oklahoma City Fire Department, is reminding people that fireworks, smoke bombs, roman candles and sparklers among others are not legal to set off in the Oklahoma City limits.

"You cannot purchase, buy, sale, or explode fireworks in the city of Oklahoma City," Adams said.

Residents can transport fireworks through Oklahoma City if they're heading to another town to light them.

Gray said the upcoming Fourth of July holiday should be fun and safe for those celebrating.
