Child molestation reported at jail

Authorities are investigating a report that a child was molested by her incarcerated father while visiting him at Joseph Harp Correction Facility in Lexington, Okla.

LEXINGTON, Okla. -- Authorities are investigating a report that a child was molested by her incarcerated father while visiting him at Joseph Harp Correction Facility.

The accused inmate currently is serving a life sentence for sex crimes, according to Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn.

"His wife brought in their biological daughter into the visitation area," Mashburn said. The mother reportedly took her daughter to the prison on several other occasions, allowing the girl to sit on her father's lap.

Charges of enabling child abuse will be filed against the girl's mother, Mashburn said.
