Isolated, strong thunderstorms will continue to move southeast through the state Tuesday morning.  Some of those storms could be severe, with threats including large hail, damaging wind gusts up to 80 mph, heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

Flash flooding warnings are in effect for much of the state. Waterloo Rd. at Air Depot Blvd. in Edmond was underwater at 7 a.m. Tuesday and traffic was being diverted from the area.

Strong thunderstorms moved through parts of the state Monday, with very heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and wind gusts up to around 50 mph.

Oklahoma will remain in this hot, humid weather pattern through much of the week, with a chance for thunderstorms most days.  The air above the ground at the upper levels is moving from the northwest to the southeast over the central and southern Plains, and this "northwest flow" tends to bring overnight thunderstorms through Oklahoma.
