Teen drowns in Lake Murray

LAKE MURRAY, Okla. -- A 15-year-old Marietta boy has drowned in Lake Murray in southern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Casey Odell drowned Sunday afternoon shortly before 4:45.

Troopers say the boy was throwing a football with his brother in shallow water when the brother missed the ball and went to retrieve it.

The brother began struggling and Odell went to help him and went under water and never resurfaced.
