Man shot in the head dies

A man who was accidently shot in the head last night has died, Norman police officials said.

Leon Walker, 48, of Oklahoma City was found around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at 12733 Burr Oak Road, shot in the head, police said.

The Norman Police Department, Norman Fire Department and emergency personnel all responded to a report of an accidental shooting at the address and found Walker fatally wounded. 

Walker was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, authorities said.

Police said the incident is currently under investigation by the Criminial Investigations Division.
