WEST FARGO, N.D. -- A wind tower equipment maker based in West Fargo plans to expand its plants in North Dakota and Oklahoma.

Officials with DMI Industries say the expansion will increase capacity by 40 percent at its West Fargo plant and 100 percent at its Tulsa-area plant.

DMI president Stefan Nilsson says the company is investing about $30 million in the two plants. He expects the growth to create an additional 350 jobs.

Nilsson says expansion is needed to meet market demand for wind power.
