DOUGLAS, Okla. -- The Potter Community Church will hold a fundraiser Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Orlando Community Building.
Last month tornadoes fell from the sky spawning one storm that destroyed a 103-year-old church. After a story aired on NEWS 9, members of the parish got calls from all over the world. They were calls that the small congregation said answered their prayers.
"My calling to witness, my calling to work in mission for people that are in need," Wilkerson said.
The tornado left memories tainted with dirt and scattered throughout the area, but with help from willing volunteers, the church is on its way to getting back to the way things were.
The fundraiser will start with the Old Fashion Box Supper auction and dinner. Directly after that, there will be baked goods, handmade items, antiques and various other items for auction.
