A disabled veteran has been sentenced to five months in prison for fraud.

Curtis Ray Jackson of Duncan was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Oklahoma City after pleading guilty in February.

The 63-year-old Jackson was accused of falsely reporting his income from 2002 through 2005 to get benefits intended for poor veterans.

In addition to five months in prison Jackson was sentenced to five months home confinement and must pay nearly $38,000 restitution.
