A potent, fast-moving storm system will bring the chance for severe weather Saturday morning across southern and central parts of Oklahoma, and again during afternoon to the eastern-half of the state.

Isolated thunderstorms, some possibly severe, will be possible Saturday morning over southern and central parts of Oklahoma; this includes Lawton, Chickasha, and Oklahoma City. Large hail and strong straight line winds will be the primary threats.

By the early afternoon hours, a cold front will surge south and east across the state bringing the renewed chance for strong to severe thunderstorms along and east of Interstate 35. Storms will rapidly track eastward, with the potential to produce very large hail and damaging straight line winds.

The highest likelihood for severe weather will be across far eastern and southeastern Oklahoma, where tornadoes will be possible late this afternoon into early evening.
