The driver of a car with an expired license tag was arrested Tuesday morning after leading officers on a high-speed chase through the metro, authorities said.
The pursuit, which reached speeds over 100 mph, began about 7 a.m. near Interstate 40 and Morgan Road when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop the vehicle.
The driver fled, speeding through the streets of northwest Oklahoma City until troopers performed a maneuver spinning the car to a halt near NW 23 and Ann Arbor, where the driver surrendered.
No injuries were reported and the driver was arrested about 7:36 a.m., police said.
