A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly shooting another man to death in northeast Oklahoma City early Saturday morning, police said.

Alvin L. Arterberry, 38, was found dead inside a car near the Boots & Saddles Club at NE 23 St. and Bryant Ave. early Saturday morning. Later that day, police arrested Ludie A. Ingram Sr. at his house under suspicion of murder in the first degree.

Arteberry had gotten into a verbal confrontation with someone at the Eldorado Club at NE 23rd and Missouri, police said. The person then followed Arteberry to the Boots and Saddles Club where the shooting took place, authorities said.

Police were called to the shooting at the club, but once they arrived they were told Arteberry was in a car headed to the hospital, police said. Police said they found Arteberry in a car wreck on the northwest corner loop of NE 23 St. and Lincoln Blvd., dead.
