There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for parts of eastern and south-central Oklahoma until 9 p.m. Thunderstorms are forming along a stalled front in the state, with hail and damaging winds being the primary threats, along with frequent lightning.
Better chances for widespread showers and thunderstorms will blanket much of the state Wednesday. There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night for the Oklahoma Panhandle, far west and southwest Oklahoma. The main threats with those storms will be hail and damaging winds.
Good rain chances continue early Thursday, before a break through Friday from storms. However, rain and storm chances return this weekend.
