Oklahoma City hosted thousands of bikers, riding their motorcycles for charity on Sunday.

The fourth annual Thunder Run, which event organizer Sam Wills said raises about $50,000 a year for multiple sclerosis, research and other charities, was in town this weekend.

"I lost my wife to multiple sclerosis and we started this run in her honor and it's something that's grown through the years," Will said.

Steve Campbell came from Thomas to ride with the group just for the camaraderie, he said.

"Bikers are a different bunch of people," he said. "They like to be together. They just gotta have somebody to talk to, somebody to ride with. Oklahoma's got a lot of wide open spaces. We really like to ride."

Some of the money went to others charities, including a convalescent home for veterans.
