Even as spring-time temperatures have started the winter thaw, yet another winter storm is taking aim at the Northern Plains Sunday night into Monday.  Heavy snow is expected to fall in South Dakota, with up to six inches by Monday evening.  Snow is also expected to fall over a broad area from eastern Wyoming and Montana eastward to northern Wisconsin.

Travel problems are expected because of the lowered visibilities and slippery roads.

The same low pressure system that will cause the winter weather in northern parts of the country, will also have the potential for severe weather through the Southern Plains and could bring more rainfall to already flooded and saturated regions of the South and Midwest.
