With the score of 28 to 17, the Oklahoma Crusaders were the victors at the end of this well-fought match.

Crusaders Club President Marcus Burgher said the match with the Ft. Sill Gunners Rugby Club was more than just a game.

"There are four teams that will be in the playoffs," Burgher said. "We need to win this game to be one of those teams."

This wasn't the first time the Crusaders and the Gunners have faced off. According to the Crusaders Director of Rugby, Stephen Taylor, a playoff spot isn't the only incentive for the Crusaders.

"Unfortunately they beat us, so this is definitely a little bit of a revenge match for us," Taylor said.

There were several advantages the Ft. Sill Gunners had over their league rivals, the Crusaders.

"Obviously being a military side, their fitness level is going to be, probably higher than ours," Taylor said. "They get to run in their work as well as in practice, so it's a little different for them."

In a pre-match interview, Taylor was asked for a prediction on the outcome of the game.

"We've beaten the best team in the league, and only just beat the worst team, so no predictions today," Taylor said.

Next up for the Crusaders is the Dallas Athletic Rugby Club which will be played in Dallas on March 29.

Club President Marcus Burgher post game analysis.
