Some local restaurant owners are helping to change the landscape of a historic part of Oklahoma City.

It doesn't look like much now, but Keith Paul has big plans for a run-down building on the corner of NW 23 Street and Hudson Avenue.

"We've been trying to get a hold of this thing for five or six years," Paul said.

The property sits just next to Cheever's Café, the restaurant Keith Paul and his wife bought seven years ago. It was once a floral shop, it's now a fine dining experience.

Paul also owns the Iron Starr Barbeque and an upscale downtown steak restaurant.

Paul and his business partners now are expanding into the grocery business.

He plans to transform the building next to Cheever's into a unique shopping experience called Market C.

"Our main focus will be the prime states that we use at Red Prime, Kobi steak, Dry H Steaks that will make us one of a kind," he said. "There's really no one else in the state that offers Kobi and Dry H on the spot for sale."

Demo work has already started on the 1920s building, and by summer time Keith will be opening another in chapter in his business.
