Firefighters battled blazes across the metro Tuesday afternoon.

A large grass fire near Council Road the H.E. Bailey Turnpike burned about 100 acres and destroyed a mobile home.

Newcastle firefighters said there were no injuries.

 

Chandler firefighters battled a blaze southeast of the Lincoln County town. The fire destroyed a barn, police said.
