Police at the University of Oklahoma are investigating suspicious letters distributed on campus Friday.

With the recent violence on campuses across the nation, it certainly raises some eye brows around school.

"I think someone wants attention," student, Ed Jones said.

It's certainly getting the attention of OU campus police who said the message in the flyer is unusual, but nothing stood out as a threat.

"I wasn't sure how to react to it," Professor Scott Hodgson said. "You know, is it something you take seriously, is it something important. But, you always take something seriously."
Some are taking the flyer at face value while others are reading it with a grain of salt.

"I'm probably more likely to get struck by a car walking home than I am getting hurt on campus by someone," Jones said. "So, no, this doesn't really concern me."

OU campus police Lt. Bruce Chan said they don't want to make this a bigger issue than it is. They are investigating the incident and are still looking for the original source.

OU police said they'll act with extra vigilance on campus, but don't plan a substantial increase to security.
