Wife charged with killing husband

First-degree murder charges have been filed against a 36-year-old Oklahoma City woman who allegedly shot her husband to death, according to the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office.

First-degree murder charges have been filed against a 36-year-old Oklahoma City woman who allegedly shot her husband to death, according to the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office.

Yolanda Adams is accused of the Feb. 21 killing of Curtis Adams Jr., 36, outside his residence at 4221 NE 20.

He died Feb. 22 at a local hospital, police said.

Court documents show Adams had filed protective orders against her husband in 2001 and 2002. The documents state Yolonda was physically and mentally abused by her husband.
