Raising the flag at Iwo Jima, Lee Harvey Oswald getting shot by Jack Ruby, the World Trade Center under attack.  Most of us are familiar with these images, and may remember how we felt the first time we saw them.  Imagine being able to see all those images at one place, at one time.  You can see all those, and more at 'Capture the Moment: The Pulitzer Prize Photographs' at the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum through March 30.

"It can be a very emotional experience to walk through and not only take time to really look at the images, but also to read about them and read about what was happening to the people and to the photographer at the time," said museum director Katie Sutton.

The exhibit is sort of a walk through history.  There are photos of WWII, the Vietnam War, world famine, and the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina.  "Some of these images, not only do they show up in the news, but they show up in our history books, just everyday images that you see," said Sutton.

The exhibit features every Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph since 1942, the first year the prize was awarded.  "The International Photography Hall of Fame is pleased to exhibit the best in  photojournalism,"  IPHF director Katie Sutton said.  The images in 'Capture the Moment' are a testament to the importance of photography in reporting world events."
