The largest wireless carrier in the country, AT&T Mobility, was behind closed doors Sunday night negotiating contracts with Communications Workers of America in District 6, a union that represents call center workers and retail employees for AT&T Mobility in four states.

The Sooner state is one of them, and a deal had to be agreed on by midnight Sunday night, or more than 1,000 workers could be out on strike in less than 24 hours.

Earlier this week the union urged workers to vote on this survey regarding issues they are facing with the company. A majority of them also voted they would go on strike if they didn't come to an agreement Sunday night, and workers could be hitting the picket lines as early as Monday morning.

This strike could affect you even if you're not an AT&T customer.

The people are the subject of what the Communications Workers of America District 6 are pushing for in the final hours before the current labor contract expires.

The union has been on the bargaining table with the largest wireless carrier in the country for the last three weeks, addressing major issues workers are facing.

Workers are facing such issues as needing higher pay in a very competitive market, as well as the skyrocketing overturn rate according to a local representative for the Communications Workers of America.

The Communications Workers of America District 6 also represent workers in Kansas, Arkansas, Texas and Missouri.
