A woman is shot while waiting on her order at a metro fast food restaurant.

It was business as usual Thursday at Church's Chicken, 701 NW 23 ST., and then out of nowhere, two men drove up and started shooting at a car that was parked in the drive-thru.

It's a day at work Doretha Green will never forget.

"They started to just pow pow pow pow pow," Green said.

Those were the sounds of multiple gun shots coming from the drive-thru.

"We took off running, we locked the doors and then we locked the window and just took off to the back," Green said.

One female in the car was hit.

"The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in surgery," Allen said.

Lt. Matt Allen of the Oklahoma City Police said the victims took off and drove down the street to Cash America Pawnshop, 1600 NW 23 St.

Back at Church's Chicken, while police finished their work outside, customers still dined on the inside, almost as if nothing had ever happened.

"Well, the drive thru isn't open but yeah we gotta make money," Green said. "How else am I gonna get paid?"

There is no word yet on the 39-year-old victim's condition.

Police aren't releasing many details about the suspects because of conflicting descriptions of the two.

Police don't believe this is a random shooting. They do believe somebody in the victim's car knew one of the gunmen.

Oklahoma City police say if you have any information the men accused of this shooting, please call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
