Students and staff at Jones High School are still recovering from the massive fire that destroyed their school.

Oklahoma Congresswoman Mary Fallin toured the damaged campus Thursday and said she was working with school leaders to get the Federal Emergency Management Agency to act quickly to help the school rebuild.

Transcripts and some bagged remains of students' possessions are all that could be saved.

But classes continue in trailers provided by the community. On her tour Fallin made a stop in one of the trailers.

"You're all seniors and this is the way you spend your senior year, bless your heart," Fallin said.

Despite the challenges Fallin said school spirit remains strong.

"The attitude of the students I met today was just tremendous," she said. "They all seem to be upbeat and positive."

That's why Fallin said she is doing her part to help rebuild the school.

"We've been working very hard with the high school and leadership to get F.E.M.A. to act quickly and that is the biggest thing I can do on the federal level," she said.

Jones residents will vote on a bond issue on April 1 to help rebuild the school.
