WASHINGTON -- Barack Obama's lead in the race for the Democratic nomination for president is getting bigger.

The Illinois senator captured most of the delegates in Wisconsin and Hawaii Tuesday. The two states were his ninth and 10th consecutive contest wins over Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama won at least 55 delegates in Wisconsin and Hawaii, with six still to be awarded. Clinton won at least 33.

Among pledged delegates, Obama has a 155-delegate edge. But Clinton has kept the overall race closer with more endorsements from superdelegates, who can support whomever they choose at the convention.

On the Republican side, John McCain won at least 34 delegates in Wisconsin and Washington state, with 22 delegates still to be awarded.
