Oklahoma State University is complying with a federal court order to supply names of students accused of illegally swapping music over the internet, said authorities on Wednesday.

The names of the students were handed over to U.S. District Judge David Russell who had originally asked for the names last November. Russell was threatening of holding OSU in contempt of court for not turning over the names sooner.

OSU officials said they thought they had already complied with the order, but then uncovered a "glitch" on their end. A spokesperson said once the mistake was uncovered, the names were handed over directly.
