New numbers show our state is not following the national average when it comes to foreclosures.

Despite a slowing economy this year, according to the real state data service RealtyTrac, Oklahoma's foreclosure rate fell almost 13 percent in 2007.

Oklahoma City and Tulsa both recorded a drop in foreclosures last year. Oklahoma City's rate of foreclosure dropped 15 percent while Tulsa's was down 4 percent.

Nationally, the rate of foreclosures jumped 79 percent.
