HONOLULU -- Former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson was named the Most Valuable Player of the Pro Bowl after scoring two touchdowns in the NFC's 42-30 win against the AFC.
Terrell Owens Owens grabbed a pair of touchdown passes, including a six-yard throw from Jeff Garcia that put the NFC ahead. Peterson became the first player to run for more than 100 yards in a Pro Bowl since Marshall Faulk and Chris Warren in 1995.
Peterson scored twice as the NFC rallied from a 24-7 deficit.
The two teams combined for 48 points in the first half, tying a Pro Bowl record. The only punt of the half turned into a fake and an 11-yard completion from Andy Lee to Tony Richardson.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught touchdown passes from Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger for the AFC.
