Brian Ward used five different cameras to capture a very important moment of his life on tape.

A week later his video is the only thing left from the day his girlfriend said "yes."

Ward proposed at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond where he works and worships.

A fire destroyed the part of the church where Ward proposed to his girlfriend Emily Parrott.

"It's kind of cool to know I have the last video of that room and walked around the whole area and got video footage of it," he said.

The couple said they don't look at the fire as a sign that the marriage should be put on hold. They're already making plans for the big day next spring, and there's a good possibility the church will be the spot they tie the knot.

"The youth pastor told us no one else will ever be engaged in that room, to which I said "or do anything else in that room," Parrott said.

Ward lost all of the video and entertainment equipment he uses in the fire, but he and other congregation members said they are just thankful no one was hurt.
