Obama wins Saturday's Democratic primaries

RICHMOND, Va. -- Relishing his clean sweep Saturday of votes in Washington state, Louisiana and Nebraska, Barack Obama has told Democratic activists in Virginia that his victories from the West Coast to the Gulf Coast are a rousing "yes we can" from voters.

Obama is running about even with Hillary Clinton in the race for Democratic delegates. And he says voters are showing they're fed-up with divisive politics and failed policies.

Obama addressed about 4,000 party activists at Virginia's annual Jefferson-Jackson fundraising dinner Saturday night. He used the speech to take on not only his Democratic rival, but the man who appears certain to be the Republican nominee, John McCain. He called for an end to the "same old Washington games with the same old Washington players" and declared that McCain has "made the decision to embrace the failed policies of George Bush's Washington."

Next up for Obama and Clinton: Sunday's caucuses in Maine.
