OSU student receives suspended sentence

An OSU student accused of blackmailing an ex-girlfriend for sex, receives a suspended sentence.

Stillwater police say James Cory Lanier blackmailed his ex-girlfriend by threatening to post videos on the internet of them having sex.

Lanier pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct and received a three-year suspended sentence.
He's also banned from OSU classes or social events where the victim may be present.
