Firefighter injured while battling hotel fire

An Oklahoma City firefighter was injured while helping extinguish a three-alarm blaze at the Residence Inn, 4361 W Reno Ave,  Monday afternoon.

Fire officials said a hose broke loose from a connection and hit the firefighter in the back of his head. Paramedics took that firefighter to the hospital for observation. They said he will be okay.

The fire reportedly began in the motel's laundry room about 1:15 p.m.
