NORMAN, Okla. -- Hundreds of students pitched in Saturday to clean up the University of Oklahoma campus.

The Norman campus is known for its manicured landscaping, but was left covered in debris after the December ice storm.

"Students want to give back," Senior Eddie Washington said. "They want to see the campus clean. That's why a lot of organizations came out to help rebuild, re-clean the university because it's very important that we have a clean campus."

Saturday's clean up was just a start. Major restoration to the campus is scheduled later in the spring.
