Hundreds of people are still holding out hope that FEMA will pay for ice storm damage to their homes.

Governor Henry has appealed FEMA's decision to deny individual aid. He wants the agency to reconsider paying for uninsured losses.

He said state & volunteer resources were stretched to the limit last year due to natural disasters.

The appeal may not do any good. Tulsa mayor Kathy Taylor said she's been told by the head of FEMA that our state isn't likely to get expanded assistance. Taylor was in Washington Thursday for a conference for mayors.

Taylor said she was told individual assistance was denied because the storm was not marked by home destruction.
