The Bulger Fugitive Task Force has made audio recordings of wanted fugitive James J. Bulger public.

While the recordings were made before Bulger became a fugitive, the FBI said they believe the unique sound of Bulger's voice may be recognizable by someone who came in contact with him.

The task force is comprised of agents and officers from the FBI, state police, Department of Corrections, and prosecutors from the Office of the United States Attorney.

The FBI is offering a $1 million reward for information leading directly to the arrest of James J. Bulger.

Bulger is being sought for his role in numerous killings from the early 1970s through the mid-80s. One killing he is being sought for was the slaying of Tulsa businessman Roger Wheeler. Wheeler was killed in 1981 after a round of golf at Southern Hills Country Club.

The killings were thought to be Mafia-related. The FBI said on their Web site that Bulger has a violent temper and is known to carry a knife at all times.
