Oklahoma's 45th begin deployment

Members of our state's 45th Infantry brigade have begun their deployment to the Middle East.

National Guard members began leaving yesterday from El Paso, Texas.

It will take about two weeks for all 2,600 troops to deploy. The troops will first go to Kuwait for several weeks before beginning their mission in Iraq.

This 45th Infantry will be in Iraq for about eight months.
