TULSA, Okla. -- Police arrested four men who allegedly used phony credit cards and counterfeit checks to dupe Oklahoma casinos out of nearly $100,000.
The suspects, who are Chinese nationals, used credit cards tied to a Canadian bank account. The cards contained false information on the front, but real information on the magnetic strip, police said.
A map found in the suspects' hotel room identified all of Oklahoma's casinos, police said.
The men were arrested Wednesday night after allegedly using a bogus credit card to purchase a computer and $2,000 worth of gift cards from a Tulsa electronics store.
"We believe in just the twelve-hour period they were here in Tulsa Wednesday morning until their arrest Wednesday evening, they managed to acquire almost $100,000 worth of cash and property," said Tulsa police officer Anthony First, "... They're very good at what they do."
