Representative Scott Inman, (D)-Del City, is proposing a bill requiring those convicted of drinking under the influence to have those offenses listed on their driver's licenses.

Inman hopes the measure will curb the number of drinking and driving accidents in Oklahoma.

"Approximately 35 percent of Oklahoma's fatalities that occur on the road each year are caused by drunk driving incidents," Inman said. "When you expand that out to the nation about 40 percent of deaths are caused by drunk driving."

Under Inman's bill a drunk driving offense would stay on the driver's license for four years after the violation.
