Ex-lawmaker returns from Iraq

Former state representative Kevin Calvey is back in Oklahoma after spending a year in Iraq.

Calvey served in the state House from 1998 to 2006 and joined the Oklahoma National Guard while in office.

He was deployed last year and worked as a prosecutor while in Iraq.

The Del City Republican said his time in the service gave him a greater appreciation of war veterans.
