Plans to give OSU Medical Center to Oklahoma State University could ensure that the state's only osteopathy school will retain its residency program.

Leaders with Ardent Health Services say the deal could also add more than 1,000 jobs to the state payroll. The negotiations come after Ardent filed a suit against the Oklahoma Health Care Authority for withholding federal education funds.

The parties have until the end of February to resolve negotiations.
