Bricktown to expand

Posted: Updated:

The skyline in Bricktown is about to change.

Bricktown leaders have given their approval for two buildings to be built on the vacant lot across from the Bricktown Ballpark.

One of the buildings will be 12 stories high and include condominiums and retail stores. The $36 million project will take two years to complete.
"There's going to be a lot more retail here, a lot more people here," project developer Gary Cotton said. "Another reason to come down here, it's going to change the feel and I think it's going to be very positive."

There are also a lot of empty buildings already in Bricktown. Plans are forming for how to fill the empty spaces.
