Police said a missing elderly Oklahoma City man was found safe this morning and brought home. A silver alert, the adult version of an Amber Alert, had been issued for Bruce Matteson, 73.
At 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, Mrs. Matteson left her husband at her home in northwest Oklahoma City. She called police at 1:00 p.m. and said Bruce Matteson had not answered the phone. Bruce Matteson supposedly got in a white mazda minivan and drove off.
Hefner police searched the neighborhood around Matteson's home shortly thereafter. Police were very worried about him.
"With the cold weather, confused state--if he runs out of gas, or runs into mechanical problems, he could be in grave danger," said Sgt. Mike Klika of the Oklahoma City Police.
According to Klika, Matteson is believed to have Alzheimer's disease.
