From staff and wire reports

Starting defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger has been sent home from Arizona for disciplinary reasons, Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said.

Granger was arrested Saturday for shoplifting.

The Sooners (11-2) are in Arizona preparing for a Jan. 2 matchup against West Virginia (10-2) in the Fiesta Bowl.

Granger makes number four in the list of significant players that will be absent in the upcoming Bowl game.

A sophomore from Dallas, Granger started 11 of 13 games and recorded 3 1/2 sacks at defensive tackle for the Sooners this year.

Stoops said backups Steven Coleman and Adrian Taylor will see additional time on the defensive line in Granger's absence.
